NCD Walk for Life program set for Sunday

NCD Governor Powes Parkop has announced the recommencement of Walk for Life; a program aimed at promoting healthy living and change of mindset.

Governor Parkop said the 2017 Walk for Life Campaign will kick off this weekend.

He urged city residents to gather at Murray Barracks on Sunday at 8:30 in the morning to start the walk.

The promotion of healthy living and change of mindset was the main drive captured in the Walk for Life program.

NCD Governor Powes Parkop says he has seen the difference the program has made to the community and is pushing to involve wider participation.

Governor Parkop said on Wednesday that the program would see mass participation from people from all walks of life.

He announced the program for 2017, will emphasis a positive mindset and be an agent of change and help to change the community.

The involvement of Defence Force will not only captivate the challenge to other disciplinary forces but send out a message to the wider audience to be serious about health.

Parkop said the program reinforces the growth of healthy community, let alone the future prospects of nation building based on healthy living.

The Walk for Life program will begin on Sunday, 8:30 in the morning at Murray Barracks Oval.
