Residents in Port Moresby will be treated to a feast of Christmas carols performed by various local artists on Saturday, December 17 at Murray Barracks Oval.

The 2016 National Capital District (NCD) Carols by Candlelight is the time when city residents come together with their families to enjoy and singalong to their favourite carol.

Residents are invited to join NCD Governor Powes Parkop to ‘walk for peace’ to light the streets with love and peace before assembling at Murray Barracks.

Mapai confirmed that security is guaranteed and will be provided by the PNG Defence Force to man gates, the crowd and patrol outside throughout the event.

There will be NCD police also to control traffic and car parks. VIP vehicles with passes will park inside while the general public cars will be parked outside.
