Misima school gets secondary status

Misima High School has been elevated to secondary school status, with new enrolments set to begin next year.

The Samarai-Murua MP, Isi Leonard Henry, gave an update of the school, recently adding that he will be focusing on developing the school’s infrastructure to match its new status.

The Member says emphasis is now on securing teachers’ housing, water supply and electricity.

He will also be liaising with education officials to confirm what other developments or upgrades need to be done on the infrastructure to reach the secondary school level status.

Henry says he is aiming for the school to begin its Grade 11 enrolments by next year.
