Massive clean-a-thon by SDA members!

It’s not too late and it’s never too early to do some good.

The Seventh-day Adventist community in the nation’s capital came out in numbers this morning, to do a massive clean-a-thon through the city.

Members of churches in each zones from Gaire to Manumanu and in the city, began as early as 6am, sweeping the streets clean of any rubbish and weed.

This clean-a-thon is the first community program under the Total Membership Involvement initiative the SDA Central Papua Conference launched in January this year.

TMI calls on the involvement of all church members, regardless of age and gender, to own and participate in community evangelical programs.

Minister Toea Mero, of Gaire SDA church, also encouraged the public to take ownership of their surroundings and keep it clean.

“Let’s keep our beaches and streets clean. Remember the slogan ‘Cleanliness is next to godliness’,” he said.
