SP Brewery launches Export can comp

Known as PNG’s World Class Export, South Pacific Export Lager under SP Brewery has proudly launched its ‘Export Can Art Series 2018’ competition in Port Moresby.

The competition aims to celebrate the unique and special art from each and every province in PNG by showcasing the art of 22 limited edition cans that will be launched in October and be a part of a campaign to celebrate the best of PNG.

SP Brewery marketing manager, Josh Wheeler, said Export Lager wants to build a platform that inspires positivity and empowers Papua New Guineans to be and do better through celebrating the best of PNG; in this instance the indigenous arts and designs.

This is a first of its kind competition for Export Lager under the SP Brewery brand where regardless of its status, it is culturally grounded to where it is born and brewed in PNG for more than 30 years.

He said Export Lager is a locally produced premium brand and it has alone been celebrated as one of the best looking beer label in the world featuring the iconic bird of paradise, the palms the ocean and for a limited time only, showcase the great artists and the unique cultures of the country.

The competition will run starting from May 14th to June 8th 2018 and a total of K22,000 will be given to 22 winners from each province around PNG.

Winner’s names will be announced at the end of the competition where each winner will have their designed featured on the iconic Export Lager White Can and a cash prize of K1,000 each for their inspiring art.

Interested artists can register at any SP Brewery office nationwide or download a softcopy of the registration form via the South Pacific Export Facebook page.

The competition is open to all aspiring artists in all 22 provinces.
