Pipeline benefits for LOs

Managing Director of the Mineral Resources Development Company, Augustine Mano, says the process of opening bank accounts for the 8 pipeline segments will have been done by the end of last week.

Speaking at the launching of the Boera Primary School teachers’ accommodation on 23rd October, Mano said they will start the process of opening the accounts so that landowners from the segments can elect their directors.

This will enable the flow of benefits – such as royalties – to them.

“By the end of this week you know that there is a Ministerial Determination on the Pipeline on the 8 segments, by the end of this week, we will go and start the process of opening the accounts so that they can start electing their directors so that benefits can flow to the plant site,” stated Mano.

“And then hopefully we can start the clan vetting or the lobby process so that they too on the other side can review the benefits so we are working very hard and the government is committed to doing that.”
