KCH awards Waterfront development survey contact

Kumul Consolidated Holdings (KCH) has awarded a survey contract as a precursor to the rezoning of the Port Moresby Waterfront.

This was announced by KCH Chairman, Paul Nerau, during the launching of the Port Moresby International Business Summit in Port Moresby.

Nerau said the rezoning is to convert the waterfront from an industrial zone to a commercial one.

“We have had a lot of approaches from different organizations from locally and overseas. We also have a master plan already, so as part of the ongoing development of Port Moresby City, the waterfront, we have that already happening,” he said.

Speaking to guests, Nerau also highloighted other major projects which are set to complement the development in the city.

They include the Port Moresby Sewerage Upgrade Project and the Motukea Port construction.

Nerau said these developments compliment the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce bid to promote the capital city in Brisbane during the summit in August.
