K4b investment potential for Highway corridor

The Sir William Skate Highway corridor has the potential to attract K4.23 billion in investment.

City Manager, Lesllie Alu said this today during the official opening.

He said an independent feasibility study concluded that the infrastructure will generate 4000 direct resident lots and another 2,300 lots through external distribution over the next 10 years.

However, he issued a warning to investors to align themselves with the municipal government’s requirements.

“This corridor will also facilitate K4.23 billion investments. There is already signs of this feasibility realizing.

“But I encourage the developers to strictly comply to our sub-division code in properly aligning your property with this road.

“There is also signs that developers are reckless and greedy and blocking the drainage and water flow. We will be hard on them and make life miserable if you do that,” added Alu.

Alu thanked his engineering department, NCD Governor, Powes Parkop, and the board, contractors China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) and all those involved in the realization of the Highway.
