Shortly after launching its new Joi Juice by Ilimo, Ilimo Dairy Farm is opening an ice-cream shop at the Vision City Mall.
The new Ilimo (ice cream) Park is located just outside the main entrance to the mall offering a range of flavours, soft ice cream, milk shakes and slushies – all made from the locally produced Ilimo Fresh Milk.
The park provides a unique experience to shoppers with a shaded playground and sitting area.
The ice cream joins a long list of dairy products that Ilimo has launched since production commenced in 2018, including Fresh Milk, Flavoured Milk, Milk Stik, Ilimo Dairy Moo Snax and Yoghurts. These products are sold across PNG from Port Moresby and Central Province to Lae and Mt. Hagen.
Chairman of Innovative Agro Industry, Ilan Weiss, said: “Since we started producing the fresh milk I have been asked again and again – when will the ice cream be available? So now we have a dedicated shop for Ilimo gelato ice cream, including milk shakes, slushies, sundaes and more…all in very affordable and competitive prices.
“Gelato is the Italian word for ice cream. Gelato style ice cream has more milk and less fat. Gelato ice cream is creamier, smoother and silkier, and packs more flavour than any other types of ice cream.
“The Ilimo gelato has a range of flavours from the classic vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cookies and chocolate flakes to rum & raisins, snickers, mango and even coconut ice cream.

Ilimo Dairy is a joint venture between Central Provincial Government, the State through KAL and operators, agribusiness firm Innovative Agro Industry PNG Ltd (IAI). Employing approximately 200 employees at the dairy farm and the new Ice Cream Park will create even more job opportunities within town.
“The opening of Ilimo Park will be on Tuesday 10th December from 4pm, along with Christmas Carols to be performed by the Sione Kami Memorial United Church.
