PNG company Purewater has won an international award, recognising its commitment to food-safety.
The award was presented at an industry‐event held in Sydney on 30 August and is the first time it has been won by a company from outside Australia.
Purewater was nominated for the award alongside significant industry participants including supermarket chains, logistics providers and food manufacturers.
“Purewater’s management is delighted and believes the award reflects the level of investment the company chooses to devote to this area of its business,” says the firm.
Purewater has facilities in Port Moresby and Lae and operates both sites under independently certified, ISO compliant, food‐safety‐systems.
“To ensure the company’s products meet the highest of standards, Purewater has its systems and processes audited on a routine basis by SAI Global of Australia.”
