Bank South Pacific (BSP) says it is proud to support and participate as Gold and Grand Gold sponsor of the PNG Investment Week, which will run from 16th – 21st June, 2019, in Port Moresby.
The PNG Investment Week consists of four separate conferences in the series:
- 35th Australia PNG Business Forum and Trade Expo which is scheduled from 16th – 18th June, followed by
- 2nd Speakers Investment Summit on 19th June, the
- PNG European Union Investment Conference on 20th June and the final conference,
- 15th UN ESCAP Asia Pacific Business Forum scheduled for 21st June, 2019.
In receiving the K105,000 sponsorship, Australia PNG Business Council Chief Executive, Materua Tamarua, said the organisers appreciated BSP’s continuous support for such events which bring economic and business opportunities to PNG.
Tamarua noted that the first three conferences will be held at The Stanley Hotel and last event and 15th UN ESCAP Asia Pacific Business Forum will be convened at the APEC Haus in the nation’s capital.
As a Gold Sponsor of the PNG Investment Week, BSP will set up booths to showcase its financial services available to businesses in PNG and the Pacific region.
In presenting the sponsorship, BSP Retail Deputy General Manager – Sales & Customer Services, Kili Tambua, said the bank was happy to support the PNG Investment Week, the first of its kind to be staged in PNG, as it includes the usual annual Australia PNG Business Council Forum and Expo and the Speakers Summit being complemented by the PNG European Union Investment Conference and the UN ESCAP Asia Pacific Business Forum. “It is seen as an opportunity to learn about business opportunities and network with senior policy makers and business people in the PNG, Australian, European and Asian region,” said Tambua.
